Everest ’53 is an educational VR game celebrating Mt. Everest’s first summit. Empa3D built a digital double of the mountain using historical photos and scan data.

I hand-sculpted the summit, arranged expedition camps, and ran erosion algorithms on low-res geographic data to fill the virtual view with true-to-life peaks. I also set up character animation, built dynamic snow deformation, and ran cloth physics.

“Andrea helped define a new chapter of our company, working on many different historical recreations and enhancing our capabilities across the board. Their diverse skillset, ability to quickly learn new techniques, and commitment to detail and efficiency helped set us on a great path forward. It was a pleasure to have them with us.”
